This Privacy Policy applies to Krumbs ("we", "us", "our") on the web, the Apple App Store, and Google Play. Krumbs is designed to help people learn programming.

Who controls your data

Data controller: Krumbs (operated by sole proprietor Christopher Okhravi), Postia 1161, 214 13 Malmö, Sweden. Contact: hello@krumbs.app.

Information we collect

Krumbs does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or other profile information to use the app.

Learning progress and app state are stored locally on your device. If you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription data needed to manage your entitlements. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, device type, operating system, purchase and subscription information, transaction receipts or purchase tokens, and information about when the app was last used. We do not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, or a custom user account identifier. Apple and Google also process purchase information through their in-app purchase systems.

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide in that message to respond to your request, and our email provider may process related metadata. If you access our website, our hosting provider may process limited technical data, such as server request logs, to deliver, secure, and maintain the website.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process data on these legal bases: contract performance (to provide paid features), legal obligation (for accounting and tax records), and legitimate interests (to handle support requests and keep the service reliable and secure).

How we use information

We use local on-device app data to provide app functionality. We use purchase and subscription status information to verify your subscription and unlock paid features.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information and we do not use advertising tracking. Data related to purchases and subscriptions is shared only with RevenueCat and the relevant app store provider (Apple or Google) to operate purchases.

We do not send RevenueCat events to other analytics services.

We do not use website analytics tools at this time.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or similar tracking technologies on this website.

We require service providers that process personal data on our behalf to protect it in accordance with applicable data protection law and their contractual obligations to us.

Payments

If you make a purchase, payment is handled by Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Roles of service providers

Krumbs is the data controller. RevenueCat is our processor for subscription management. Our support email and hosting providers act as processors for service operations. Apple and Google may act as independent controllers for payment and app store operations.

For purchase and subscription data processed by RevenueCat on our behalf, please contact us first and we will handle the request with RevenueCat as needed.

For data controlled directly by Apple or Google, you may need to contact them directly to exercise certain rights.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Where required, transfers are protected by lawful safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention and deletion

Purchase and subscription records are retained only as long as needed to provide service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. If you want to request deletion of data associated with your purchases, contact us at hello@krumbs.app and include your Customer ID from the app so we can identify the relevant purchase record(s).

Support emails are normally retained for up to 24 months, unless a longer period is needed for legal claims or legal obligations.

Your GDPR rights

If GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability, and you may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise your rights, email hello@krumbs.app. We may ask for reasonable identity verification before completing a request.

We respond within one month of receiving a valid request. If the request is complex, we may extend by up to two additional months as permitted by GDPR.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority in the EEA, including Sweden's supervisory authority (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

Children

Krumbs is a general audience app and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or other profile information from children. Krumbs does not require users to create an account, and learning progress is stored locally on the device. Purchase and subscription data may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to the software, we post the updated policy on this page before releasing those changes.
